We all encounter interesting things everyday – an article that made us wonder, a quote that stirred our soul, a shower thought we want to return to, a podcast conversation that made our brain go whoa. But without a simple way to capture and remember these fragments, we leave them behind.

Whether it’s to organize ideas for a project, to have material to turn to for inspiration, or to save idea sparks without getting distracted in the moment, having a repository for the interesting insights you come across is a beautiful way to engage more meaningfully with the world.

Sublime is about increasing the chances of delivering just-in-time epiphanies: the right ideas, exactly when you need them.

We love the metaphor of "trails" to describe Sublime. A trail is something you can create for yourself – making your personal internet more alive and useful. But it's also something you leave behind for others – giving them jumping off points to research, wander, and create their own trails.

These are the foundational and evolving beliefs Sublime is built on.

Principles

How it works

There’s a lot of magic but let’s keep it simple for now.

Every time you find something interesting, add it to Sublime – on web, browser extension, and iOS.

The building blocks of your Sublime library are cards and collections.

Cards are any unit of media; thoughts, highlights, images, links, articles, videos, podcasts,…

A collection is just what it sounds like; a collection of cards. You create collections for a specific topic, theme, concept, or project. Collections can be private or open.

That means your ideas will bump into others’ in interesting ways and you can remix others’ ideas into your own library.**
